Looped Fern
This is a pattern that you can see in various variations by the famous Cockerell Marbled Papers. I have found it to be one of the most difficult to replicate. The reason is that it depends not only the details of the pattern but also on the initial distribution of colours. I suspect it will be a long time before I succeed in creating a version that completely satisfies me.
The base pattern is a Fern or Flame pattern with an additional wavy comb in the reverse direction with twice the tine gap. The initial colour distribution is a regular grid pattern.
